How to Flash Factory Image on Google Nexus Smartphone


Nexus smartphone user welcome. You're at the correct page. This page will guide you on how to flash your stock ROM on your Nexus device using Windows computer very quickly without faults what so ever.

Requirements:

Your Google Nexus device must be at least 50-70 percent of the battery to perform the flashing process. This enable the device not to shut down while flashing.

Flash stock ROM (firmware) on Google Nexus Device

Step 1:

Download and install USB drivers on your computer.

Step 2:

Download for Mac, Windows and install Minimal ADB and fastboot tool on your computer.

Extract the contents of the ADB/Fastboot ZIP file inside a new folder called ‘google’ on your desktop. Extract and transfer the contents of the factory image inside this folder as well. The list of files will include a ZIP file containing the codename of your Android device, two files with “flash-all” names, and a bootloader image file. All the extracted contents of the factory image should be inside the same folder as the ADB and Fastboot file, otherwise you will get a file not found error.

Step 3:

Download the Google Nexus Stock ROM for your Nexus device.

Step 4:

After You done Downloading your device Rom, create a folder on your desktop and extract the file into the folder your created on your compute. After extracting you will to see the following files:

Step 5:

Enable the

USB Debugging

on your Nexus Device. To do that go to

Open Settings

& then

Developers Option

& look for

USB Debugging

in the option listed &

Tick

to enable you are good.

(Developers Option is hidden for Android 4.2.2 or above, to show this option Go to

Settings

& About Phone >

Built Number

(Tap on it for 5-8 times).
Step 6:Put, your device Nexus Device Power off.

Step 7:

Boot your device into the

ADB mode.

To do that press and hold

Volume Up + Volume Down + Power

for 7-10 seconds until adb mode is enabled.

Step 8:

After the above, Connect your Device to the computer using the good data cable.

Step 9:

Now, you need to unlock the bootloader (it can be locked later). To unlock the bootloader, Open

MAF32.exe or py_cmd.exe

from the Minimal ADB and fastboot folder (C:Program Files\Minimal ADB and Fastboot).

Step 10:

Once, Command Window is launched, Give the following command:

fastboot oem unlock

Step 11:

Now, you will be able to see warning message on your device screen, Using your Volume UP button Select Yes to Continue.

Step 12:

Your device bootloader is unlocked you can now flash the firmware to your device. To flash the firmware, Go to the extracted files and open

flash-all.bat

Step 13:

Now, flashing process will begin, and it will hardly take 5-10 minutes to complete.

Step 14:

To lock the bootloader again, Open

py cmd.exe

from the Minimal ADB and fastboot folder (C:Program Files Minimal ADB and Fastboot). And give the following command:

fastboot oem lock
